Welcome to Kaleidoscope Painter.

Click and drag around this canvas to begin painting.

Welcome to the program that makes it easy for anyone to be a painter.
Just drag the mouse around the canvas and have fun,
then read below if you need help with what the buttons and toggles do.

Color/Pattern Buttons
These are the buttons on the top row of the interface - the ones with the cool patterns. Here you can select various 'rainbow' palettes. The brush will change color automatically as you paint when you use one of these 'rainbow' palettes.

If you want to use a solid color or choose colors manually, then select the left-most button (the button with a solid color/has no pattern).

Drag the scrollbar left or right to reveal more rainbow palettes.

Bg Button
Click this button to select the canvas background color.
Brush Size Slider
Drag the slider handle to change the brush size (this will deactivate DynaBrush).
DynaBrush Checkbox
Check this box to make brush size change dynamically in random fashion as you paint. Click to toggle on/off.

Why use this feature? The varying brush size adds variations, giving the kaleidoscope a more organic look.

Save Image Button
Click this button to download the painting into your computer as a standard image (png) file. The file can then be opened in an image editing program such as Paint or Adobe Photoshop. (If you can't open the file, please append ".png" to the filename.)

If this feature doesn't work for you, please make sure that you're using the latest browser (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Safari).

Alternatively if you do not have a latest browser, you can use the screen capture feature on your computer: Windows instruction here (CNET site), Mac instruction here (Apple Support site).

Phone/tablet user: unfortunately at this moment this feature is not supported on most tablets/phones. On the phones that do support it, you can usually find the file under the Download folder.

Clear Button
Click this button to clear the canvas. (Make sure to use the Save Image feature first if you want to save your current painting.)
Autodraw Checkbox
When the box is ticked, the program will draw by itself, similar to automatic painting machine. Click to toggle on/off.
